Overnight Occurrences

Tecumseh:

Sometime between Jan. 21st at 5:00 p.m. and Jan. 22nd at 1:00 p.m. a 1996 2-door, red Chrysler Sebring convertible, bearing Ontario licence plate number AFSP 401 was stolen from a business near 13050 block of Tecumseh Road.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Essex County OPP 519-723-2491 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.

Kingsville: 

Sometime in the last week a barn on County Road 20 West was broken into.  Once inside culprit(s) removed stereo equipment including; a Pioneer car stereo, a Ham radio and 2 rear JVC speakers from an UNLOCKED vehicle.

A 48 year old Tecumseh man has been charged with impaired driving and drive with over 80 mgs of alcohol.  On Jan. 22nd at 10:50 p.m. two witnesses observed a white minivan fail to stop for the stop sign at the T-intersection of County Road 31 and County Road 8, proceeded through the intersection and struck a guard rail on the north side of the intersection.  The accused’s vehicle and guard rail were both severely damaged by the collision. A Kingsville OPP Officer responded to the collision, the lone driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving and drive with over 80 mgs of alcohol.
