Essex:
On July 23, 2009 around 11:30 pm Essex OPP made a routine traffic stop at Hopgood Side Rd., and Talbot St N, in the Town of Essex. Police noticed a smell of alcohol, and observed liquor bottles on the floor of the vehicle. 5 males were charged under the Liquor Licence Act.
On July 24, 2009 around 1:00 am Essex OPP responded to a suspicious person in the 40 block of Erie St., in the Town of Essex. Police report that an unknown male was standing on the porch looking into the window at a 15 year old female. Kingsville:
On July 23, 2009 the Essex County OPP Crime Unit assisted with the investigation of the fire in the 90 block of Laurel St. The Kingsville Fire Chief advised that the fire was not suspicious in nature, and there are no charges being laid at this time.
On July 24, 2009 around 4:30 am Kingsville OPP responded to a fail to remain at Road 7 and County Rd 31. A vehicle travelling east bound on Road 7 struck a stop sign, causing minor damage. No vehicle information available. Anyone with information is asked to call Kingsville OPP at 519-733-2345.
Lakeshore:
On July 22, 2009 Lakeshore OPP responded to a theft from vehicle in the 100 block of Marentette Dr., in the Town of Lakeshore. Police attended and several items were removed from 2 unlocked vehicles. A Garmin GPS, iPod car charger, and a small quantity of money were taken. “Lock it or Lose it”
On July 24, 2009 Lakeshore OPP responded to a residential break and enter in the 16700 block of Lakeshore Rd 309 in the Town of Lakeshore. Unknown suspect entered residence taking a 32 inch Sony Bravia flat screen TV, a Zune MP3 player, and a stereo system from the residence. Tecumseh:
On July 23, 2009 around 1:30 pm Tecumseh OPP responded to a trouble with youth in Lacasse park in the Town of Tecumseh. Several teens were knocking over garbage cans, and yelling profanities in the park. Police spoke to involved parties and a male was charged with LLA 30 (8) – person under 19 consume liquor.
