Essex:
On July 22, 2009 Essex OPP responded to a mischief to a residence in the 200 block of Walnut Ave., in the Town of Essex. A cement brick had been thrown threw the patio window, and a bedroom window. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Essex County OPP Street Crime at 519-723-2491.
On July 22, 2009 around 1:50 am Essex OPP responded to a break and enter into an unlocked garage in the 100 block of Wellington St. in the Town of Essex. Police attended and were advised that a quantity of alcohol was taken. Police arrested 3 young males (14, 15 yrs) from Essex at a later time and were charged with CC 348(1)(b) Break, Enter dwelling house
Their parents were contacted and informed of their criminal behaviour. The youths were released after being diverted to the Windsor / Essex diversionary program.
On July 23, 2009 around 2:00 am Essex OPP responded to a break and enter in the 80 block of Iler Rd. in the Town of Essex. Police attended and were advised that unknown suspects entered an unlocked residence, breaking a computer monitor. Kingsville:
On July 23, 2009 around 3:30 am Kingsville OPP responded to a fire in the 90 block of Laurel St. in the Town of Kingsville. Kingsville Fire Department and Police attended a residence engulfed with fire at the rear of the home. The Kingsville Fire Service battled the fire for several hours, and the Fire Chief advised that scene would be held for investigation pending further investigation.
Lakeshore:
On July 23, 2009 around 1:00 am Lakeshore OPP responded to a theft and mischief at a business in the 6330 block of Main St. in Comber. Police attended and were advised that over the last 6 weeks unknown suspects have removed several gas caps, and dips sticks from farm equipment, damaged the items and then left them on the property. The estimated cost of damage is $400.00. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lakeshore OPP at 519-728-1810.
On July 22, 2009 Lakeshore OPP responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of Regency Cres. in Belle River. Lakeshore Fire Department attended the fire. The fire started in a crawl space, and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Tecumseh:
On July 22, 2009 Tecumseh OPP responded to a residential break and enter in the 500 block of Cambridge Crt. Police attended and the front door was been damaged. Unknown suspects removed a quantity of jewellery, and a quantity of cash. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tecumseh OPP at 519-735-2424 or Essex County OPP Crime Unit at 519- 723-2491.
On July 22, 2009 Tecumseh OPP responded to a theft from vehicle at a business at Tecumseh Rd, and Southfield Drive in the Town of Tecumseh. A Motorola red cell phone was removed from an unlocked vehicle.
